Lounging around are Two-toed and Three-toed sloths. Endangered animals, such as Orinoco crocodiles, Giant river otters, Antillean manatees and several species of monkeys are part of the many conservation projects. The aquarium portion displays interesting marine life, including Japanese crabs, jellyfish, Leafy, Weedy and Ribbon seadragons. Black-footed and Blue penguins can be seen swimming as guests enjoy the outdoor South Africa exhibit. Sharks, rays and sawfish are only a few of the fish living in the Mundo Maya cenote. Safe from Neotropical eagles, are euphonias, tanagers and hummingbirds. Reptiles and amphibians, both of significance to the Maya culture, can be seen throughout the exhibit. « less

The only thing I was unhappy about, there were school groups there and they were loud and annoying. Of course the Dallas World Aquarium had no control over that. I wish the teachers would have been more in control. Don't miss any part of this beautiful attraction. We spent the day there and took our time with each exhibit. The... More

We've been to aqauarium all over the US & this is one of our favorites. It really has a lot offer & is kid friendly. Our son loves the Sloth & the Sharks. We keep going back year after year. It's a blast.

I very much liked the arrangement of the places for each placement, the free monkey tree in the middle of the first bird garden, but get sorry for some animals having really little space, like the tiger placed alone in a glass shelter definitely quite small for him.

This place is totally fantastic. Once when we were there, the octopus was moving about, I loved that, but it was only once. Very educational. Very tiny monkies. Scary snakes.

This aquarium is fantastic. My 2 year old daughter could spend all day at this place - everything is easy to see for little ones and entertaining for all ages. Definitely worth the cost of admission.

I had my misgivings when weplanned to go to DWA. I waant that excited to see a sea world. But when we got there the various birds, bipeds and quadrupeds in a forest-like atmosphere was amazing. And very informative with each window having a label/picture and monitor for reference. Most exciting was the shark area wher you could sit under... More

I took my six and two year old sons to the Dallas World Aquarium, after reading a lot of positive reviews and thought it'd be cool. Our experience was mostly like what I read in other reviews...the name is misleading, it's definitely more of a zoo, with the aquarium being more of a main feature. Parking is a little confusing... Need to have plenty of time to see all that is there. If you rush through, you will miss so much. More animals then you can imagine. Not just fish.

This is an unexpectedly lovely place to visit. I was surprised at the quantity of 'stock' in a place that looked so small. This is a favorite destination for field trips so I would find out when they have their lowest volume of field trips if you want a more peaceful visit.
