I always enjoy spending a little bit of time at Fountain Place. It was designed to enhance the experience of the surrounding Allied Bank Tower designed by the great architect I.M. Pei. (Also known to locals as "The Lipstick Building.") :-) Whether or not you appreciate details of fine architecture and space designers (Fountains by Dan Kiley), they have engineered... More

After spending the day in the busy city, my family needed a quiet place to end the day and this was the perfect place! Parking was like $2. We enjoyed walking around looking at the water. Plenty of benches to sit on. Wasn't anything too fancy but nice and calm.

My husband & I went here after the Segway tour. It's beautiful to see, hear and to just sit & watch. It's worth a trip at least once, the way they have the fountains set up is great and very pretty!!

Well, my husband proposed here last year, so I maybe a little biased on loving it. All the fountains are really pretty, though! It isn't really very noisy even being close to the road, and it is a little cooler being that you are by water. We were here in July, and it wasn't hot at all! I hate the... More

After spending the whole day at the Dallas aquarium, having parked opposite Fountain place , we went looking for coffee. I am an amateur photographer, I had my D90 DSLR with me. I love the fountains, I took some pics, we sat on a bench and rested our feet. Ready to leave we approached the security guard to find out... More

If you want a place to go to just look at water fountains you might enjoy this site. However, don't even think of putting your hands in the water or you'll be immediately reprimanded. The building is old, and the restaurants are not what they used to be. The prices there and in the on-site store can be out of... More

One of the most architecturally famous building in the US. It looks different from each side. I believe it was designed by IM Pei.

Just grab a take out and go there for lunch on a nice day or dinner on a hot day. It is really a soothing romantic place, ans also cool for kids to see. It looks different in day and night, so just pick your best part of day and hop for a visit when your in Downtown.

As I think one other reviewer below stated, the rules at the fountain appear to have changed since other people have mentioned that this is a great place to go to cool off and let children play....children are most definitely 100% NOT allowed anywhere near the water anymore. My 11year old happened to put his hand in one of the... More

This place is nice to walk through on the way to the arts district. There are some nice fountains but they are in the middle of large buildings, i cant help thinking this would be better in a woodland or park area. Still, its free and quite pleasant, i enjoyed stopping for a moment to take it in and liked... More
