The train ride was fun, the tunnel, the round house, the barn were both fun and good learning experiences. We love trains and this only added to our love.

The 3.5 mile round trip starts fom the historic East Ridge station, runs through an 850 ft long "U" shaped tunnel and stops at the East Chattanooga locomotive repair shop where you can see a turntable in action and watch as several steam locos are being rebuilt. The return to the East Ridge station is over the same tracks.
