My wife and I visited Look Out Mountain and had a wonderful experience. You walk the property winding through caves, seeing unbelievable vistas ( you can see 7 States from the top of the mountain on a clear day) and seeing an extensive display of childhood figures. Great time for families with younger children. Well worth a visit for all... More

What a fun day we spent here hiking and scrunching through the formations. The view is amazing...........how can you beat looking at 7 states from one view? Just be sure to have your walking shoes on and you have had your protein.

This is my second visit to the Battle Ground and Lookout Mountain. What a good history lesson. The views are fantastic and the flowers were blooming all along the Mountain. Just a spectacular place.

Have seen old Civil War photos of Lookout Mtn. for years. Had no idea it was looking over Chattanooga. Park Service facility was good. Parking was confusing. Metered spaces in front of the Park Service took money and did not give any time. Ranger said they had nothing to do with the meters, but they had free parking behind the... More

I agree with pretty much everything negative that has been said on here. This is something you will feel like you have to see once at least, if you have been here before, I would skip it. If you are unsure about it, I would skip it. You aren't really missing much but there are some nice photo opportunities but... More

Neat and historical vintage attraction. The view from the top was great. The drive was awesome and the observation deck was just perfect.

Worth the drive for the view even if you don't stop for the incline railway. But do stop at the incline railway. I believe you can use the observation deck even if you don't buy a ticket to ride the incline. Worth the view.

We enjoyed the views from the top of Lookout Mountain and the Incline RR. I would suggest an alternative to the rail trip @$15 per person: drive up to the top and park for a couple of hours, as there is metered street parking. The gift shop in the building has great fudge and you can walk upstairs and catch... More

Could easily spend a couple of hours here, strolling and taking in the views. The highlights are the view of the 7 states and the waterfalls. The counter food is not so great, so would recommend packing some snacks or eating before/after.
