The "glitzyest" casino in Deadwood. Makes me feel like I've stepped out of the old west and into present day.
From advertisement, we expected a pretty impressive buffet. "80 feet," "Vegas style," etc. Absolutely doesn't match up to the image put out there. Lots of slots machines here... a bit overwhelming after a walk along Main Street.
Not necessarily the casino's fault, but the entire town seems depressed. More the fault of the economy, but if you advertise as a casino, at least have a blackjack table open in the middle of the day.
Food was not very hot - barely warm - the turkey was rolled turkey - very little salad stuff. food appeared to have been sitting out a long time.
After checking out the other hotels and restaurants in town, this Sunday night prime rib buffet was our best value. Food was good and the service was excellent. We even had some good luck at the slots.
