We just returned from a week long visit and couldn't have asked for more perfect weather! It was very beautiful, all of Murrell's Inlet is like a mini vacation spot. You just can't go wrong. Make sure to visit Drunken Jacks to see the peacocks on the small inlet.
While in Myrtle Beach, my husband and I drove by the Murrells Inlet area. We saw the walkway with a few restaurants along the way. Some shops seemed to be located in the hotels along the walk. It was rainy when we visited, but I imagine it's a nice walk on a nice day.

Free parking. There's also plenty to do for the kids to keep them occupied.
Lots of restaurants to choose from and accessible by car or bike.

During our vacation we ate at two of them- Drunken Jack's and Dead Dog Saloon. Both were excellent. Prices at the restaurants on the Marsh Walk were...

Most people visit Marsh Walk for the restaurants, but we prefer early morning before the eateries open and the crowds arrive. Walk behind the restaurants to stroll along the elevated, wooden boardwalk hugging the inlet. On a clear, quiet February morning, we watched peacocks feeding in the marsh, ducks swimming in the inlet, and fishermen cleaning their boats. This is...
