Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was a very nice and relaxing walk around the lake. The bonus was the playground on the far side. There were ducks and turtles everywhere! We didn’t go any farther than around the lake, but there were other branches of the trail.

You don't realize how many trails there are until you start trying different ones! Great for exercise in the morning because mostly you are out of the sun. I like that the trails are hilly, so you aren't just on a flat terrain, but be careful of uneven cement in some places where it is easy to trip (yup, did that!). People have tried to paint lines to alert you to dangerous portions, Lots of birds, including woodpeckers (even a pileated!), hawks, blue birds, etc. There is a sign near Midlands Tech that says "Wildlife sanctuary", but besides a heron, I've seen more outside of there than in! Nice view walking around the lake behind the new Tru by Hilton on Columbiana Drive.

We were staying at the Hampton Inn and they had a sign pointing to the Harbison Lake Trail. The lake was about 100' off their parking lot. The trail around the lake was cement and there were off-shoot trails from the lake trail. We walked around the lake, which I estimate to be close to a mile, as well as one of the off-shoot trails as we would be leaving shortly. The trail around the lake is beautiful with a lot of ducks in the lake. One section of the lake had a playground. The trail around the lake is wooded and has a nice feel to it.

If you are staying near I26 and Harbison Blvd and want a place to walk, here is your spot...you walk on sidewalks that trail through the neighborhood.

Relaxing walk around this trail. Early morning hours are much better for me due to the summer heat. Very quiet.

Wow, I wish I had found these months before I did! This is a nice system of trails meandering through the harbison neighborhood. I would recommend picking up a map at the harbison rec center or online as there are a couple spots you could get turned around. The trails are in good shape but some of the older fitness equipment is in disrepair if you care about that. I really enjoyed being able to use these trails!

We had trouble finding this place by the map. (Turn down the road next to the expressway by Lowes & you'll run into it). Nice park with a nice walk around it. It was perfect after a day of driving in the car to get out & stretch.

Staying at the Hampton Inn Haribson you'll find part of these trails just behind the hotel. About 7/10ths of a mile around the lake, you'll find ducks, birds, turtles and other wildlife. In addition, a playground and picnic tables. It is the perfect break after a long day at work, a long drive, or a nice way to start the day as well.

Well maintained paved walking paths are a great place to walk with family. Also a very cheap date activity.

Great trails for walking, biking, running or just leisurely strolling. All of the walkways are hard surfaced, well maintained and lighted in some areas. Most of the walkways are well shaded, meandering through wooded areas, Harbison subdivision, around a couple of ponds and Columbiana Mall. There are 'exercise stations' along the way as well as playground areas spotted about.
