A nice park. It details the history of Beaufort, dating to 1711. There is a children's play area, swing chairs for adults, a dock (complete with a small cruise ship in town), and an amphitheater. Nice view of the bridge to St Helena.
We enjoyed walking around the waterfront and eating at two of the establishments, Common Ground coffeehouse and Plum's restaurant. The area is dog friendly, and you can let your dog off leash to play. A great spot to enjoy if you visit Beaufort!
Beaufort is a midsize town full of history and beauty. On the main street, Bay St, it is a must to go on the river side and enjoy the shops and restaurants. It is a beautiful waterfront park where you can relax and enjoy watching the boats and people go by.
A beautiful waterfront park that is very well maintained! We enjoyed strolling along and had a chance to see a small cruise ship pull into dock.

No visit to Beaufort is complete with a walk along the waterfront park. Order a to go lunch at Plum's and they will bring it to you at a table in the park. Or have dinner on the patio at Saltus.
This well kept waterfront park is perfect for a relaxing visit. You can stroll along the water, relax in the swings along the water, or stop in one of several cafes with porches open to the park. Views are beautiful across the river to the marshes.
I've lived here a year, but still enjoy visiting this beautiful park whenever I'm uptown (that's what the "Bay Street" area is called). We'll have lunch at one of the restaurants on Bay St. and then stroll along the water or sit in one of the wooden (squeeky) swings. There is also a playground at the far end toward the...
