When we first found this place, it was called Sand Hill Cove. More recently they have changed the name to "Roger Wheeler State Park". We went to the Roger Wheeler State Beach today and had a very nice time. There was plenty of parking and space on the beach. It was peaceful very friendly families all around us. The bathhouse was clean but don't forget to bring your change if you go use the hot showers. My only complaint was the rocks on my... More

Great beach for kids. The waves are much smaller than other beaches in Narragansett as it is protected by a peninsula. More
