This is one of my favorite beaches to walk and explore. Great place to find shells and sea glass. Beautiful views of the surrounding coastline and the bird sanctuary. This place is overcrowded during the summer season and parking is a challenge.

There was nothing which stood out for us at Second Beach. If you want to avoid the big crowds and traffic associated with the larger beaches then this is the spot for you. Off the beaten path.

Forget Misquamicutt. Second beach offers the same ocean, none of the crowds, cheaper parking and a ten minute drive to downtown Newport.

Clean, great waves, no seaweed. This beach is always our favorite. Not too far from the snack stand for the kids, always clean, never overly crowded.
