If you are a sailor, this is a must see, a must stop. From land or sea. Obviously like any small museum it could definitely use a million or two to spend on their exhibits, but it is wonderful as is.

I had the opportunity to visit the HMM this weeeking while sailin in the HMM regatta and had the opprtunity to look at it's updated exhibite and all of the beautiful trophies, displays and bits of maritime and Americas Cup history there. If you are a sailor than you have heard of Hereschoff. It's a very small museum, but you can go on classic Hereschooff sail boats. It's worth a visit.

This museum details some of the major contributions of Bristol mariners and boat designers in pursuit of the America Cup, in lucid photo displays. In a large adjacent storage room, dozens of beautiful craft, some of incredibly large dimensions, are displayed, some with walk-thru access. Souvenirs and books are available in the museum.

Great museum. We spent more than hour there and thought it was a nice little museum. It was open on the 4th of July and we visited while we were waiting for the Bristol 4th of July Parade which is the oldest parade in the United States.
