We were on a bus tour and stopped to pick up our guide. She was very good on telling us about the Amish and Mennonites. I like history so this was excellent for me to know about their beliefs. The stops along the tour was very nice and the weather was excellent so we got to see the farmers in... More

My family went to Lancaster County because we were going to Philly for a family event that happened to to coincide with a school vacation week so we decided to make a mini road trip out of it. Because of a family crisis we hadn't done much planning. I was sort of expecting very rural and was somewhat taken aback... More

At the info center, you can request a guide to ride with you in your car. It cost $49 for two hours and $16 per additional hour. You can call ahead for a reservation. If you want to know the difference between the Mennonite and Amish,They show a movie over view of where their faiths originated. Enjoyed movie and the lobby store with available information for purchase. They also can take tours with you to meet the Amish and their farms. The best tour in area!

I suppose my expectations were too high. The "film" we paid to see where photos. The presentation was very well done and informational. The tabernacle was also very interesting but not spectacular. The people were very helpful and told us about interesting places to visit in the county.

This is probably interesting for some, but was not for me. I think the presenter was a little too dramatic and tried a little too hard. I did see several people nodding off during this presentation.

The Mennonite Information Center is a great place to learn about the Mennonites and the Amish. While there, you can hire a Mennonite to travel with you and tell you everything you want to know about the Mennonites and the Amish.

Enjoyed the tour of the life-size tabernacle and the movie about the Mennonites and Amish. The exhibits were very informative - I learned alot. Loved the items for sale from around the world - I got a wonderful basket from Uganda. It's gorgeous!
