We visit Longwood often and we are amazed at the beauty each time we visit. The displays change for each season and are just fabulous. The array of flowers and greenery must be seen to be appreciated. Do yourself a favor... call in sick today and go play among the flowers.

Gardens are always lovely, but this is a step above any botanical or similar site. Lovely children's fountains and the tree houses are super fun. I could have stayed all day in perfect contentment. Even on Home School Day with lots of kids you could find quiet spots. Orchids were a delight.

My visit to Longwood Gardens made me wish to live in the area of Kennet Square so that I could visit this absolutely fabulous estate and garden on a regular basis. I can't believe I have never been there until now, since I have enjoyed seeing a number of other noteworthy gardens such as the Huntington Gardens in San Marino,... More

Fabulous! Arrive early to beat the crowd. It took the 2 of us about 4 hours to circle around the entire property at a leisurely pace. We finished at 1:30 and the crowds were streaming in. I know there are many more paths to be discovered so I look forward to our next visit. It would have been great to... More

I have visited Longwood Gardens several times at different seasons (Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter) and it was fantastic each time. This is definitely the most spectacular botanical garden that I have ever visited. The tulips in the Spring, the vegetable garden in the Fall, and the Christmas decorations in the Winter keep you wanting to come back over and... More

3 of us visited Longwood Gardens on a cold March day. It was during the Orchid Extravaganza. What a site! Not only were there tons of orchids but lots of other botanicals as well. The original old greenhouse that housed the exhibit was worth the trip in itself. The grapefruit trees were blooming. They held huge grapefruits and smelled divine.... More

This is a huge estate that can take hours to traverse; it's a relaxing getaway and unique to the area. There are seasonal shows but I find it most enjoyable to just stroll and discover. Very cool tree houses!

I can't believe I've lived in this area for years and just recently visited Longwood Gardens. This place is beyond beautiful. There are so many different varieties of flowers and plants -- some I saw for the very first time in my life. The place was really crowded on a Saturday but the foot traffic seemed to flow and there... More

This was our second time visiting Longwood Gardens. The first occasion was a few years ago in the late fall when not many of the garden flowers and trees were in bloom. This time we hit it just right, in the middle of the late spring flower season. We did a complete tour of the property, much the same as... More
