Although it is not easy to play there, you need to be a guest of a member, or a guest at Hershey Hotel or Hershey Lodge. A traditional layout built in 1930, the greens are great and it calls for great strategy to shoot a good round.
big, tall, old trees lining the fairways... some holes with chocolate smells wafting over the tee boxes... well manicured... very enjoyable...
Obviously, golf on an A-rated course and the promise of chocolate at the end, Heaven here on earth.
Played in a regional amateur tour event this past weekend. Course was in excellent shape and was nice, but the staff at the Country Club made it painfully obvious they did not want us there. Sad too, I'd like to see the event remain on our schedule.
A very fair course, great service in the clubhouse, I had a very nice outing.
When I arrived, there wasn't a person at the golf bag drop (but it was a very slow day). However, within a minute a staffer showed up and took my bag and immediately delivered it to my cart.
