We were vowed by two of the wines, person in charge of tasting very knowledgable and helpful, great outdoor space for a picnic, not crowded on Monday when we visited.

While most of the staff is pleasant, the person in charge of the events is far less accomadating and even less pleasant to speak with than any of the other vineyards in the Roseburg area. Wayne is usually cookin' up some kind of treat at Melrose Winery, where he grows lots of grapes for a full spectrum of wines. This was the first winery of the Umpqua Valley that we visited. A party of 6 were just in front of us and we were quickly attended to. The gentleman serving us was knowledgeable and very friendly. On a recent local wine tour with friends, Melrose Vineyards was a complete disappointment...The wine is good but with such rude customer service, it's hard to enjoy.
