Tours are... more » Owner description: Our tours will allow you to experience, first hand, the best of Portland's beer culture. Discover why Portland is known as "Beervana". Tours are "boutique style" (no more than 12 attendees) creating maximum interaction with your tour guide. Guides are brewing professionals with knowledge of all beer styles and beer production. All tours are “eco-friendly” being conducted using Portland's Tri-Met light rail and trolley system - one of the finest in the U.S. Tours last a minimum of 5 hours and will visit a minimum of 4 (usually 5) of the best breweries and brewpubs. We begin and end in the heart of beautiful downtown Portland. Many different beer styles will be sampled and those styles discussed. Tours include a custom beer evaluation sheet to track and score the beers sampled. Beer ingredient samples will be examined and discussed to educate you about beer recipe development.

Marc ran a great tour. He took us to a few downtown Portland pubs on public transportation and explained the history of brewing in Portland along the way. My husband and in-laws recently took this tour and LOVED it!!! Marc has such a wealth of knowledge not only about beer but the city of Portland as well. We had a fantastic time on this beer tour. We ran a bit late and Marc was very understanding and waited for us. Make sure you meet at the correct Nordstrom on Morrison (there is more than one Nordstrom downtown!) Also, make sure you bring change so you can split the bill easier with the rest of the tour group.... More

Best brewpub tour, Marc is extremely knowledgeable, interesting and has a huge passion for beer which makes this tour so great. Tasted a lot of beers, all very different and all in very different pubs too. We had a great group, total of 8 people from all over the place. What I loved best was the the hands on approach, we didn't drive around in some stuffed van on a time crunch. We walked around town and took the streetcar to get to our destinations, which made for getting a better feel for this wonderful city.... More

Recently a group of my friends had the pleasure of taking Marc's tour of The best beer that Portland has to offer.We learned so much about about Portlands history.Marc helped make that weekend a very memorable weekend that we are still talking about every time we see one another!!Thanks again Marc.

Thanks for the great review. Glad you learned a lot more about how craft beer is made and also the history of the buildings plus the history of brewing in Portland. You didn't set a record by sampling 28 beers but that was close. Make it back down here for another visit and we'll check out 5 more new places.... More
