The beach was a little dirtier than other Oregon coast beaches (i.e.: Seaside) Beach access was very limited and included lots of steps. Quite a few remnants of beach fires strewn around.
great area of Newport. great shops and restaurants, friendly staffs all ready to help you find what you want. Great view of the ocean from the parking lot. Easy walking distance from our hotel.

Besides the fantastic view there's a commemorative to the veterans of the Vietnam War which puts a whole new perspective on Memorial Day.
This is a long stretching and also wide beach with lots of sand! Perfect for walking and running as the sand more compact. I saw lots of happy beach walkers and dogs, as well as early morning joggers. It was a very relaxing atmosphere and I would love to go back. Friendly people!
The Dapper frog is an outstanding shop to visit. Great art in alll mediums of glass and wood. The ice cream shop also has some great Tillamook flavors

there an Italian resteraunt that you could smell for miles. The Irish Pub is so authentic and the food was amazing. The shops are interesting. Some of the shops are a little high in price for me.
