Take the Historic Columbia Hwy and this is one of the waterfalls that are literally right off the side of the road. Great for those who may have a disability and are unable to walk the trails.

When traveling on Hwy 30, take a moment and stop at Horsetail Falls, stretch your legs and snap a few photos. This waterfall is visible from the road but worth getting out of the car, walking across the road, and feeling the spray of the water on your face. Due to time constraints, I did not do any of the... The waterfall is beautiful and literally right off the road with parking right there. You can walk down to it, but be careful, slippery rocks. Bring water if you plan to hike. This waterfall is right at the road though and perfect. If you're walking to Ponytail Falls (Upper Horsetail), allow me to be the voice of reason. It is... More

Beautiful waterfall. Easy for all to visit and view. It's right off the freeway and there is a restaurant there too.

While touring the gorge, we stopped at Horsetail falls and decided to hike to the upper falls. The trail is well maintained and isn't too long. It is a relaxing (steep at points) walk and well worth it. If you are headed out this way, bring water with you for the hike, you may decide to do it, once you... More

Has easy access for the handicapped. Great photo opp & fun to feel the blast of the falls on your face. Drive slowly & watch for pedestrians. Take your time on the route it's the best in the NorthWest!

This is a beautiful fall, not as crowded as others easy to access and has picnic tables as well as a hiking trail if you should be so inclined. The warning at the trail states the bridge can hold one safely so be advised!
