Nice little town with excellent beach (Harris Beach), but would be better with more varied food choices.
Safe, quiet & friendly! It has all of the amenities that are necessary for "spoiling" but not overwhelming large with its attendant overcrowding!! I like it!!
We just missed the peak bloom, but if you're in the area when azaleas are blooming, it's really worth the stop! Not a huge garden, but maintained by volunteers as a community project and well done. Lots of big fluffy blooms in all colors! Lovely!
We read the reviews on Brookings and decided to drive the 20+ miles from Crescent City to check it out since it was an overcast day. very nice little coastal town. Friendly people and nice views from shore. Had a bite to eat in a small diner. Very quaint
Great small town atmosphere and good restaurants. Plenty of good, fresh seafood! Harris Beach State Park is beautiful. Try the Art Alley Grill for super food in a romantic setting.

Brookings is not one of the teeny, charming, "quaint" Oregon coast towns. It has... More
Lots of flowers, shops, friendly people and sunshine! We enjoyed our stay - went to the Azalea park and had a picnic. Walked along the beach. Poked into little shops. Had a great lunch! You should go.

The scenery is spectacular, there are lots of motels and RV parks, and the people are extremely friendly here. You won't be disappointed if you decide to make this one... More
Hubby and I enjoyed this little town. Not much to do in the way of big city shopping but if you love the ocean and small towns, it's nice here. There are several nice restaurants, beautiful beaches, great state parks and the weather is mild most of the year. Close to casino action just across the border and some interesting... More
