A great beach, with tide pools and lots of room for the dogs to run. The public bathroom leaves a bit to be desired, but it was clean and we were glad it was there!

We were just there last Memorial Day week where we had negative tides in the mornings. The tidepooling was fantastic. It was a whole new world of sea creatures in great abundance. Wear beach boots and step with care.
On our drive through the Samuel Boardman State Park we stopped and explored this beautiful and secluded beach with unique rock formations and tide pools. There are picnic tables and restroom facilities and a nice grass area that is very clean and plenty of parking. There is a gentle path to the beach which is just perfect for a get-a-way....

Other reviews have said it all - this is a marvelous beach. I grew up in a California beach town, and even I was impressed. :)
Check the tide table and be sure to wear your rubber boots. Lone Ranch has wonderful pool tides to explore. A great education for your children.
Sea stacks and rocks, both on and off shore, make this a stunning location. Plenty of parking near the beach and decent outhouses. The beach is flat and broad. It can get very windy in the spring and summer, not as much in the fall and winter.
Great place to picnic, watch the waves, and enjoy the rocks found only on the Oregon coast. Don't forget to pack your litter back out to the cans in the parking lot! Thanks for keeping it beautiful!

Went Jan 28th 2013. 55 degrees and no wind all weekend. Unfortunately High Tide was around noon, so tidepoolong was not happening, but you could see how good it would be at Low Tide. Walked up the waterfall, and climbed the huge mound at the South end of the Beach. Stunning all the way around. These beaches blow the North...
