Clear water. Great fishing. Several rivers and streams to canoe, kayak or fish for trout, etc. For those with kids or who are kids at heart. Inside the state park areas are several great places for rock skipping. Some of the best ever. We really enjoyed this lake and I plan on taking the family for a visit in the... More

We love this lake! It is known for great bass fishing. We love how clear it stays. While there are always boats on it, it never seems crowded. You can rent jetskis, boats and houseboats at the marina inside the State Park.

Me and my girlfriend wanted a getaway from our day to day life. While theres a lot to see in Oklahoma, there isnt much thats on par with this place. We stayed in the Sugar Shack cabin which is absolutely heaven for couples! The lake was beautiful, plenty of fish to catch, and the river is home to many activities... More

Quiet, clear and scenic. Plenty of room to camp, hike, fish, geocache, nap, explore, boat, etc. etc. A jewel in SE Oklahoma.

The lake is very clear, fishing is good, close to Beaver's Bend. Nice cabins, Little Islands in the lake. Pine and Hardwoods all around. Very nice.

We rented a pontoon boat from the Beavers Bend Marina - very friendly and helpful people - and toured the lake to take in the scenery and see the first trees change colors this Fall and take pictures of the various reflections in the lake. The views are gorgeous and definitely reason to come back in the Spring. Adding a... More

This area of Oklahoma is absolutely gorgeous. The hiking was great, the river was cold and refreshing, the water was clear and beautiful. There were plenty of activities for everyone including fishing, horseback riding, jet ski and paddle boat rental, hiking trails and swimming. Photo ops at every turn~ The kids and the dogs loved it LoL
