West Coast Yacht Charters offers the only sailing cruises from the township of Strahan. The 65foot yacht "Stormbreaker" sails on Macquarie Harbour and goes 15km. further than the large ferries on the Gordon River. Meals, kayaks, and fishing gear are included. The 3hr.Crayfish Lunch, Kayak and Fishing Cruise is on Macquarie Harbour. The longer cruises go to The Gordon River.

Had a lovely time on the evening crayfish dinner cruise on Boxing Day. Ticket included crayfish (rock lobster!) which was served on the boat with salad and for dessert there was a fruit salad with cream. Nothing fancy but very nice, and the cray was so fresh and tasty!

We took an overnight trip up the Gordon River - to collect rafters. Great way to see Macquarie Harbour and the river away from the crowds of the big tourist ferries. Our captain was a mine of interesting information about the area, and the trip was relaxed and comfortable.
