We were recommended by a lady who works on the Pier to try the fish and chips in the cafe at entrance. We are beginning to wonder if she was on commission! The fish was nice but the chips were definitely just reheated and the portions tiny! The adult portion wasn't much bigger than the child's portion and the child's... More

Particularly loved the water feature clock and the under the pier show which was mad! The restaurant on the pier was also superb.

We went on the pier today for a stroll. Very windy in fact it was 50mph!! Don't know if it's my age (27) but didn't interest me or my husband. We saw an arcade and thought fantastic!! Had a play only to realise you could only win tokens....gutted! I would prob say the weather didn't help else we would have... More

There are several food outlets on Southwold Pier: Beach Cafe at the entrance for teas, coffees and sandwiches; The Clockhouse for barista coffees, paninis and cakes; and the Boardwalk Restaurant. None are cheap but the quality is worth paying for. The range of ice-cream flavours make it difficult to stop at just one serving. The water clock and the quirky... More

Love visiting Southwold and the pier is lovely to have a walk up and down. Brilliantly restored and has lovely shops/cafes on it. The cafe at the start of the pier does amazing fish and chips that are Gluten free on the first Saturday of each month. Well worth a visit.

We spent the day at Southwold and had the pleasure of renting out a beach hut just down from the pier, something i would recommend. This is a place we have been several times and despite the size of the town, have never been disappointed. The pier has not changed much in the years we have been coming, but it... More

The best example I have seen of the great british seaside - yes there is an arcade, but it is contained within one building at the start of the pier, and who doesn't like feeding 2p pieces into a machine for a tiny bit. But - the rest of the place is so much better. the pier café is in... More
