Avonlea is a lovely setting in the heart of Cavendish, a small village sits full of historic settings of days gone by boast of Green Gables. Our family enjoyed dressing up and us taking pictures of them, taking strolls throughout the buildings and joining in all the activities they run though out the day. My only suggestion is I wish... This is by far the best tourist attraction in PEI. Just love it at Avonlea and the staff are all friendly. Love Farmer Wayne. It is a little bit of country in our fast pace world.

We knew from planing our trip to Pei that it operates on a reduced time table in september and that there would be no plays and musical entertainment for us to see the school house Lucy Maud was a teacer in and going into the dress up shop were worth it to us!

We went to Avonlea village in September and we paid full price when not even all the buildings were open! It was pretty there but not worth it after the season closed.

Our September rate is reduced from $22.00 to $6.00 since we don't offer our peak season program. I have often wondered if we should close when our full show ends at the end of August. We thought it would be nice to at least have the property open for fall travellers at a reduced rate. You have given us something... More

A great way to spend the day. We enjoyed visiting the houses, taking in the plays and musical entertainment, and enjoyed a horsedrawn waggon ride. Great entertainment.

We Visited Avonlea Village on August 26th with our three daughters ages 10, 7 & 3 along with our best friends and their two children ages 7 & 4. From the moment we walked inside the station, we were captivated. We were warmly welcomed by Roger and Mrs Lynde, and could hardly contain ourselves when they spoke to us in... More

Loved our day there. We did not know we were walking in to a full day of planned activities that would act out the book for us through out the day. I loved the story as a child and was thrilled to see it acted out. My 7 & 3 year old had a great time, as did their dad.... More

Honestly, I should of listen to my gut and not wasted our time there. Not much to do and see. It is good for little ones but for adults and older children (over 10) kind of boring.
