My son is a huge WWII enthusiasts, so when we say this ship from the highway, we hit the brakes and turned in. While there is an admission, it goes to help preserve this amazing piece of history. I felt proud to tour this battleship and watch my son's wonder as we intermingled with folks that lived through this history.... More

Hard to write a review of this, only seen it from the road. A little pricey and for someone who has a physical disability it would of been hard to tour the ship. The ship is great condition and even though I am not a history person when it comes to war or military. This would of been neat to... More

A visit to the North Carolina is a must during a visit to Wilmington. My husband, our teen age son and I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. It is incredible to be in the depths of this ship and try to imagine just how it was to be on board during wartime. It makes one appreciate just what our sailors and... More

LOTS of climbing! Dress comfortably! The only ship you can go into the engine room. Very well kept vessel.

I enjoyed this, even though i am not a huge fan of history! I do suggest bringing a bottle of water. It is really hot and I got dehydrated, makes me appreciate what the soldiers went through!

Loved the history of this attraction and seeing what sailors had to endure. Definitely changed my perception of how it might have been like to live and maybe fight a war at sea.

Wow!! this was amazing! This entertained everybody in the family! Even the Hubby was amazed. The volunteers deserve a big thank you! They are stationed in different areas of the ship to give you a little extra information. I loved hearing the stories they told. I would recommend going early in the day to avoid the heat down below. It... More

We enjoyed our visit to the battleship. This is self-guided and you will have to read the info boards. Our kids age 10 & 13 liked it too, but quickly tired of all the reading. This is not for someone who has physical disabilities. Lots of climbing ladder-like steep stairs. Our kids loved the climbing and exploring. The tourets were... More

This attraction is very cool! Very large boat that has a lot to see. I do not recommend this to people with physical disabilities as there is a lot of climbing up and down stairs.
