This is not just a pier... Due to the turbulent weather of the OBX, this pier had sustained a tremendous amount of damage. It was rebuilt with many offerings! There are educational experiences related to hurricanes, marine life, and wind turbines which are used to generate electricity. There are various classes & special events offered. There is still plenty of... More

Great spot to get out of the sun and take a break. Lots of environmental exhibits and a real interesting history/photos of the place. Fantastic view of the beach from out at sea. When we visited last summer, the main building was free, and a small donation (optional) was requested to go on the pier itself. No hassles if you... More

Concrete pier ! If this pier moves YOU should be moving too !!!Even though we did not fish here this visit (we surf casted) I love this place. Very Clean and the employees are so very helpful. We walked on the pier but Tropical Storm Andrea was heading in so , so did we.

We visited the pier before we went to the beach to see the view of the ocean and we watched several people catch fish. The gift shop was nice and had some educational displays. Everything seemed clean and restrooms had a nice area outside to wash the saltwater off after we walked along the ocean.

This pier is a nice walk out with good views of the beach. It has fishing stations and places to fillet your catch. There are fish imbedded in the planks with dedications from familys and friends and a shop at the end. We saw Dolphins swim by and a large number of sting rays so if you are lucky so... More

I think if we had planned to go fishing we would have appreciated more. The " aquarium" is a joke, there were just pictures of fish, but NO real fish.

I have never seen a fishing pier to match Jennette's. I wish the state of North Carolina had others like this. Jennette's is clean, functional, educational and a lot of fun. Believe it or not, we spent about 90 minutes just hanging around. Serious fishermen lined the sides. There are exhibits about waves, solar energy, windmills, posters of fish. It... More

Of all the Piers on the Outer Banks Jennette's is the nicest and is also the longest. The concrete Pier also means no swaying when water swells pass under the Pier!

My husband and I were married here in June 2012, it was the most spectacular place I have ever seen. The ballroom is beautiful, the beach is amazing, and most importantly the staff (Michele- you rock!) is one of a kind. Every wedding I attend, I always think to myself how blessed I am to be a JP bride.

The mandatory 'walk through the gift shop' to get to the pier is fine. They have a lot of fun touristy stuff to buy and some indoor aquariums. Once on the pier, you have a great view of the beaches and there were a bunch of people fishing. There were pictures of the fish you can catch off the pier... More
