We had a very enjoyable trip. We left at 10am. The captain and crew were great. Pretty much everything that I could say has already been said in these other reviews. The day that we went, the dolphins weren't jumping, but we saw many dolphin that were swimming around and coming out of the water a bit.

My daughter and I really enjoyed the Nags head dolphin watch...we left the dock at 0900 and Holly and the Captain were extremely informative and friendly. Within 15 mins or so we came across a bunch of dolphins playing and jumping around the boat. It was surreal! There were plenty of kids on board and the crew involved the kids... More

Our family completely enjoyed our dolphin finding and watching excursion. We had considered taking a pontoon boat vs a jet boat and are so glad that we went with the jet boat excursion instead. The jet boat could get us out to see the dolphins quicker and we were able to see them on the Sound side and then out... More

We had family ranging in age from almost 3 to 87 and everyone had a great time! The crew was interactive and involved the kiddos in water testing. He tried to keep the boat as steady as he could and provide the best view of the dolphins. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommend!

We went on the 3pm dolphin tour. The crew was professional and knowledgeable. They gave us many fun facts about dolphins and research. It was very kid friendly. We saw lots of dolphins and they came fairly close to our boat. My five year old was fascinated by watching for the dolphin fins to appear. My 16 year old also... More

Took the kids on this tour on 22 June 2012. We saw a big group of dolphins and a few babies, it was really exciting, the kids had a lot of fun and got to help test the water. In response to the other reviewer about only seeing fins, there in the wild in unclear water, so you wouldn't see... More

Our trip was on 16th June, 2012. It's a pretty good experience. we got to see dolphins for first time, and thoroughly enjoyed watching them. Even though we reached late (due to mess up with the address), the crew on board received us warmly and were telling us some cool info about the dolphins.. There were lots of kids as... More

Our actual trip was in 2009. Great trip for kids, the Captain and First Mate are seasoned scientific researchers who have an enthusiasm for kids, teaching, learning and conservation. They get the kids involved in the research and have a great attitude. We plan on going every year. The Captain even let kids drive the boat! This tour is the... More

Our family of four took the Nags Head Dolphin Watch on 7/16 and what a disappointment! This tour should be renamed "The FIN tour" because other than a quick glimpse of a dolphin's fin here or there that's pretty much all we saw! I had this vision of getting some great pix of dolphins in the water and we didn't... More

We booked this at the last minute, looking for one last thing to do with the kids. It turned out to be the highlight of our vacation. The boat was nothing fancy, just a big pontoon boat with bleacher style seats and a roof. We boarded, and the crew introduced themselves to us, and went over the plans for the... More
