The park was nice, beautiful river with lots of people enjoying a swim. There were ducks and geese that were fun to watch and the park is right in the center of town.

It's free, it's beautiful, it's awesome...why would you not stop by here and let the kids stretch their legs as they run through the bamboo forrest, wade in the creek, and take in some sun. Have a cook out on 1 of the grills, walk a trail, listen to the talking trees, and feed the ducks/geese - it's all FREE!
Due to the amount of traffic on #441 most travellers pass right by this one. It really isn't much from the car but once you park and take the 1-2 minute walk to the islands it is well worth it. A nice place to cool off with a dip in the creek. There is a Bamboo forest with paths cut...

At the islands park you can have a picnic, birthday party, or lay out in the sun all day. There are pavillons and benches to use and there are also grills. We like to bring out intertubes and tube down the river. We bring our beach towels and lay out on the shore. There are also fish in the water...

There wasn't a lot of people down here this time of the year and it was amazing we played in the river and with the ducks in the park it was so relaxing
very clean and right on the river so you can get in and wade or tube. Only one side is dog friendly.
