As North Carolina’s original family theme park, Tweetsie Railroad is a unique attraction that allows children and families to explore their imaginations and a whole lot more. Be a cowboy, cowgirl or an engineer. Shop along Main Street, pan for gold, or visit the animals in the Deer Park. Tweetsie has amusement rides for all ages and live entertainment throughout the park. And, of course, hop aboard our historic train for a fun-filled three-mile Wild West journey through the scenic mountains. Located in Blowing Rock, NC.

I just took my children this weekend. If it hadn't of been that I had free tickets we wouldn't of gone. The price is a little crazy considering it has very few rides and attractions. The deer park and the train where the best parts of it. There is maybe 10 rides total.

We visited on Memorial Day with 4 year-old son and small dog. So, 2 adults and a child cost $97; pets free. We arrived at 9:00 when they opened. It was too early as not all the workers had everything setup yet, but we didn't mind too much as we just walked around checking the place out (first time visiting)....

No matter what your age, you will enjoy this fun experience. The gunfight reenactments and indian attacks are so much fun.

Great fun, beautiful day! Tweetsie really has a lot to offer kids. Plenty of rides, shows, food. Adults would also enjoy it.

My husband and I took our two boys (one and four years old) for A Day Out With Thomas. My four-year-old was beyond excited when he saw Thomas, it was great! The train was the best part, the acting during the train ride could be a bit better, but its not Disney. The shows are ok, just to kill time, the food was not good, so bring a picnic lunch since they let you bring it in the park. Fun for small kids.

My 3 year old loved the Day out with Thomas! Everything is pricey- but they always are at an amusement park. Good news is we took in our drinks and snacks- and they are stroller friendly- leave the strollers just outside the ride and lines for the train. Chairlift, county fair style rides, and a little cheesy western fun.
