This is a lovely change for the Parrish - the light filled rooms finally make the art look the way it's supposed to. And the cafe with food by the Art of Eating is wonderful.

it's big and open and bright. skylights and huge windows let in the gorgeous east end light. fabulous collection finally getting to the public. cafe for snacks and gift shop too. love the architecture. can't wait to go back in summer when trees are leafed out and the plantings fill in

The Parrish Museum now consisits of two exhibit rooms showing two small unexciting photo exhibits. Their web page gives the impression you can see the permanent collection, but you can't. The Parrish has grand ambitions - which I guess is good, but I will desperately miss being able to park, go to the museum and have dinner in town. Nice collections, great gift shop-we did our Christmas shopping there:. Great rainy day activity. Too bad they are moving. The in-town location can't be beat.
