This weekend I went to the garden/home show at the Convention Center. The Convention Center is a large inside/ outside area for Large parties, receptions. I have seen parties here, the auto show, fund raisers. It is beautifully decorated. Plenty of room for dancing, food etc. There is also an outdoor walkway overlooking the Genesee River. It is multilayered, escalators,... More

Very clean and well kept. Nice staff. Cold weather in area so it is very nice to be connected to the hotel.

Downtown Rochester. Good enough facility; if you see an event that you "must see" or an event that is all day...justifies the parking difficulties...this is a good convention center. Parking is limited on the street, can be expensive...might require some walking. The facility is showing its age

Located in the center of downtown Rochester the Convention center is somewhere around 20 years old so pretty new compared to the surrounding buildings. Cuisine is pretty darn good seeing as it hosts some high powered conventions. There is a 4 star hotel accross the street, used to be Holiday Inn but not sure who owns it now. You are... More

The service was great, but the convention center is showing its age. The fixtures in one bathroom seemed to be updated but the ones in the other bathrooms are pealing their coating and showing age.

I gave this an average rating mainly because it is in fact merely a convention center. Like most it's situated in the downtown section of the city. What makes this center unique is it's proximity to the Genesee River (thus the name "The River Side Convention Center). It's clean, it's modern and it provides an opportunity to walk the downtown... The convention center is very nice; they really know how to set it up conveniently so you can make your way around. It's also very versatile; there were well-furnished multi-sized meeting rooms, a trade show, and a commencement hall that were all tastefully arranged--the place where the commencement happened was especially nicely done with strings of lights and a nice... Small sized place with not much to offer. Downtown is a shambles with big holes in the ground and no places to eat.

The Rochester Riverside Convention Center is a MASSIVE place that can accommodate almost anything. I was there last summer with my daughter, at a college show, and they were able to fit several hundred exhibits into a single room. It is HUGE!!! If need be, they can connect several of their largest rooms together to form a cavernous that could... More

The skywalk that connects the Convention Centre with the two nearby hotels makes it really easy and comfortable. The conference rooms were clean and well organised mostly. The problem was that the air-conditioning was completely de-regulated. There were rooms that were literally freezing to the extent that you could not stay and others that were boiling hot. Other than that,... More
