We were collected from Ammoudi right on time by Stathis. He was a fantastic host and offered in depth information on everything we saw. We went to the volcano and hot springs which is where the service on the Anemos comes into its own, we were able to avoid the large cruises with vast amounts of other tourists on, which... More

Santorini was a port of call off our Celebrity cruise. As we got off the ship (even before we took the cable lift to go up) we were approached by a vendor offering us a high speed boat ride to Oia. We decided to do that to save time and it was the best decision. We were I Oia in... More

Most people visit Santorini on day trips from cruise ships. When 5 ships are visiting with an average total of 10,000 passengers, its almost impossible to take the cable car to the town. When we were there we found an office right by the cable car that arranged an excursion by boat to Oia at a cost of 15 Euros.... More

We arrived at Santorini, the largest island of a small circular archipelago and a remnant of a volcanic caldera, in the southern Aegean Sea on 11th October 2012. This is our second visit to this beautiful island which essentially is the remains after an enormous volcanic explosion that destroyed the earliest settlements on a formerly simple island to create this... My wife and I recently visited Santorini on the Serenade of the Seas. We did the 6+ mile hike from Fira to Oia. We had considered taking a taxi or bus back to the cable car station in Fira at the end of the day, but we heard horror stories about the crowded buses and hard-to-find taxis. What we ended... More

We went on the Anemos boat for a tour to the volcano, hot springs and swimming spot for around 30 euro per person. It was a small boat which we met at the old port on Santorini (just near the cable car entry/exit) and it took us straight over to the volcano. Captain Stathis said we could take as long... More

We visited Santorini in March, which was perfect. There were no crowds and the weather was perfect: sunny and 75 degrees each day. Many boat tours and sea trip excursions were not yet running since tourist season had not yet begun. However, upon contacting Captain Stathis via email @ santoriniseatrips@yahoo.co.uk, we were promptly greeted and happily booked a three hour... More

Forget Paris. Landon, bah. Barcelona, retrograde. Provence and Tuscany, well close. For my money, the most picturesque [man-made] place in Europe is OIA, a tiny village on the northern tip of the Island of Santorini in Greece. Don't take my word for it, consider how many travel magazine covers have appeared this year with one of Oia domed covered churches... More

On our second to last day we took a three hour tour on the Isabella with Karen and Nick. We nearly missed the boat, having underestimated how long it would take to get from Oia to the port, but they had kept an eye out for us and turned the boat right around to collect us. They were without a... More

We took a tour of Oia & the Winery on the Island of Santorini from a cruise ship. We were met by our tour guide who was excellent , her name was Georgina. She was the best, her english was very good and she never missed a beat telling us all about the Island with every little detail. She kept... More
