Great beginner ski area with much more challanging opportunities at the top and every thing in between. Hunter can be really busy on weekends but nice during the week. Weekends lots of people if you are into that. Great views and concerts in the summer.

For a birthday present my Wife bought me a Hunter Big Mountain Pass, it came with two pre loaded ski passes and got me a 50% off discount at the mountain during the week and I don't remember what it was during the weekends...but the slopes during the week were groomed great and the lines were non existent. There were... More

first time at hunter. its nice and big which calls for long runs, which i like. it was empty. there were no lines at all. lifts were nice and quick. although at the top of the kaatskill flyer, 6 man lift, was a sheet of ice that was a pain to navigate every single time. it was the end of... More

My daughter had a lesson, and I am not a skier. They were extremely well organized. There were lots of tables and locations for the family to wait, and everyone was so nice.

Not the biggest around but close to the city and reasonable rates. About a 3 hr trip from NYC. Good intermediate trails and lots to do other than ski. I went here for a snowshoe trip and snowshoed to the fire tower at the top of the mountain. The views were unbelievable. You can rent snowshoes for very cheap. If... More

Went during the week (late February) so crowds were not an issue. Biggest disappointment were the number of trails not open (or even close). We normally ski Camelback in Pa which has been 100% most of the year. It never occured to me a resort north of us would not. Food selection was good. Beers pricey and bartenders grouchy. Ate... More

We just returned from Hunter Mt but didnt ski. We went there for the afternoon rates, but couldnt buy a lift tickets until exactly 15 mins before, such a hassle, So a bunch of us had to wait to exactly that time to get the discount. After purchasing the lift tickets, we were instructed to go to a different building... More

Last Year I was new to the whole snow thing and decided to try it out. My friends and I booked a Small A frame through a local Realtor on a whim. We did some research and all purchased rentals and tickets right from the internet as a package deal (saving enough money to extend our drinking budget for a... More
