Well maintained beach with excellent access to the water. Boating is also easy as there is state constructed ramp with ample parking.

Wellington is a wonderful state park -- one of New Hampshire's very best, in my opinion. Right on Newfound Lake, it has a huge beach area plus many wooded picnic sites, playgrounds, and a nature trail, among other amenities. The bathrooms are not fancy but they do have flush toilets and running water. The changing areas are separate from the... More

A nice place to see with the family. If you are visiting and want to spend a quite day some by the water, go to a State Park.

Wellington has a huge beach, picnic tables and grills, pavilions you can reserve, consessions and bathrooms. The view of Newfound Lake is outstanding and there are paths through the marsh area where you can pick blueberries in season. Weekends in summer can be crowded so come mid-week if you can.

Wellington is right on Newfound Lake. They have lifeguards, concession stand, changing rooms and the swimming area is cordoned off into 3 lanes (shallow, deeper, deep). Makes it nice if you're a non-swimmer or with small children. Water is pristine, grounds are always maintained. Wonderful walking trails all around and thru the park. Also a public boat launch. Great place... More

The beach at this state park is other-wordly for NH. The view of the lake from this vantage point is worth a visit. The super clear lake is wonderful to swim in.
