A nice place to see with the family. If you are visiting and want to spend a quite day some by the water, go to a State Park.

Wellington has a huge beach, picnic tables and grills, pavilions you can reserve, consessions and bathrooms. The view of Newfound Lake is outstanding and there are paths through the marsh area where you can pick blueberries in season. Weekends in summer can be crowded so come mid-week if you can.

Wellington is right on Newfound Lake. They have lifeguards, concession stand, changing rooms and the swimming area is cordoned off into 3 lanes (shallow, deeper, deep). Beautiful, great beach, outstanding views on one of the best lakes in the world.Boat launch, picnics and cheap entry fees makes this a great place for an afternoon.

We went with a large group, nice beach area Had a wonderful Day, wasn't crowded Launched our boats from the public launch (good set up) Lots of parking for truck and trailers

Beautiful mountain views, crystal clear water, sandy beach, picnic area, boat ramp and a scenic hike through the woods. This is a gem and a great family outing spot.

The beach at this state park is other-wordly for NH. The view of the lake from this vantage point is worth a visit. The super clear lake is wonderful to swim in.
