This is a fantastic state capitol building. Be sure to go up to the 14th floor for a 360 degree view of the Linclon area.

Wow, the Nebraska State Capital is a beautiful building. We really needed to take the guided tour to appreciate the interior. It was dark throughout the interior.

The Nebraska State Capitol is truly a unique specimen of a state capitol. The 400 ft tall building is different than most shorter domed versions, and comes in at #2 in height of all state captiols. The interior is stunning and designed with native Indian symbology, with art deco, along with other forms of art styles. Best to get a... More

The decorative arts employed throughout this capitol building are amazing. Multiple styles and media show works ranging from stone or wood carving to mosaics to tapestries and paintings. Nebraskans pride themselves in the "Tower on the Plains" and the fact that it was constructed without going into debt. Inside is a visual delight and outside offers bas reliefs carved into... More

Our State Capital is a true state gem and 'must see' for out of staters. Realize one needs to drive off the interstate to get there, but it is well worth the trip. Take the tour and then go up the elevator to the 14th floor and look outs. A feast for the eyes and an architectural achievement we hope... More

Nice place to visit in Lincoln. The staff inside is very helpful to the public. I guess they should be since it is the capitol bldg. Very ornate and recently restored.

We went to the Capitol based on TA reviews and I'm really glad we did. This is a beautiful building, with marble and granite mosaic floors and colorful artwork on walls and ceilings. The docent who led our free one hour tour was extremely knowledgeable, and explained the symbolism of the art in the main hall and gallery. We learned... More

The Nebraska State capitol building is very interesting, and the free tours are led by volunteers who really know their stuff. From the floor mosaic in the rotunda featuring dinosaurs, mammoths, and other prehistoric creatures to the great view from the top, it's a great visit for families or anywone. If you are looking for something to do in downtown... More

Impressive murals and be sure to take the tour. The tile on the floor and the murals tell many stories.
