Caras Park is wonderful, it is big and there is something always going on. You feel safe walking through, and it is perfect for events, family outings, and just walking!
Beautiful park area by the water. When we were there a wedding reception was going on so there was live music. There are places to park (free) and places to sit or you can just walk by the river. Really a walkable area. Very nice. The Carulsel is located right here too.
This park is located by the river, it is beautiful there. Tables for you to have picnics, during the summer months there is out to lunch on Wednesdays where they have live music and venders to choose from , along with venders and live music on Thursday evenings.
Every night (it seemed) there was music or food trucks or just great people watching; watching the "surfers" on the river, a sunset, the many happy dogs; a casual, comfortable place for even a first timer.

This is a wonderful park with river frontage, carousel, play area, picnic era, and more. The play structure is well maintained and has seating for adults strategically placed so the kids cannot leave without going past you. There are nice public restrooms in the adjacent carousel and a snack bar in case anyone needs a treat.
