One fo the first things you may see if you enter from the 4th street side is the large peace sculpture. Make sure you take the time to read the significance of this piece. As you walk in the courthouse you will see a wide variety of spectacular marble and wood work done with very a selection of prime wood.... More

Love the Indian Statue and all the marble. Hope this building stays around for a long time. Like using the elevator. Nice place to see.

The statue in the lobby is very interesting! There is all kinds of marble. In the downstairs, there are all kinds of historic information and gifts from city sisters. Easy and free.

It provides a good view of the rotating "Father of Waters" statute on the ground floor. The 2nd floor has a list of all the veterans who died in WWII from Ramsey County. Moving. If you have time, see if you can visit a courtroom on one of the upper floors. They spent money like it was going out of... More

The marble and granite is so georgious along with the wood imported from around the world. They even have plaques teilling you what kind and where the wood came from in each area. In my oponion this is a must see building!

The interior features massive sculpture, rare woods, an array of marble from around the world, and a polished gold ceiling. Exterior sculptures are by Lee Lawrie, the artist who did almost all of the sculpture at Rockefeller Center.

Vision of Peace by Carl Milles - The scale of this statue in the lobby is overwhelming and worth a quick visit (no comment on the inappropriate out-of-date sensibliities of the "noble savage" theme!). The visit is free after passing through a security scanner. You can also peek into the courtrooms on various floors and peruse the list of the... More

This historic downtown building is the home to the city government, the local courts and a bunch of other related services. Build during the depression in an art deco style it has several public areas on the lower levels (1-3) that you may get access to without to much drama. There are some unique memorials to veterans and heroes of... More
