We traveled to New Ulm, MN to check out this quaint town and to tour the August Schell Brewery. We weren't disappointed on both accounts. The brewery is steeped in history and the grounds are beautiful. August Schell loved his gardens! Although we didn't actually see the brewing process, we were shown many of the buildings and brewing rooms and... More

This is always a fun place to visit even if you aren't into beer. There is so much history here and they take great care of the facility. From the old buildings to the wildlife that roams around, you can't go wrong with a stop here!

Great tour - great beer - great location. Did I mention it was great? After the tour be sure to go outside on the deck and enjoy the full glass of beer you get at the end of the tour.

Great place for family and adults. Wonderful beer tour and tasting. Plus flower gardens, deer and many other animals. A must see when visiting New Ulm.

We stopped here on our way home from a week long RV trip. The grounds are absolutely beautiful with plenty of trees, gardens, and peacocks. There's no fee to visit and hang out. Only the tour costs a few bucks. We took the tour and really enjoyed it. It's pretty cheap and you get to taste a bunch of beer... More

Museum is good, tasting room is great. Beautiful grounds and cool, old buildings. The tour is interesting, but you do need to climb stairs to see everything. They have a gift shop in addtion to the strating area which are free.

Don't waste your money on the tour. The tour was bad you really don't see anything. The only thing you see is a video ok how the beer is made. Would have been better if we saw the real action of the plant. So again I would save your money.

We didn't take the tour so my average rating may not be fair. The garden is very nice and they have a museum and gift shop. If you have heard about Schell or Grain Belt beer you may want to check this place out. Beer samples only come with the tour which is $3.00. Tour takes about an hour.

This museum was very interesting and worth looking at. Allow enough time before or after the tour to see what is in the museum. If you are interested in brewing then allow at least an hour or more.
