We took our 8th grade class to visit this WWII Navy ship. We found it very interesting. The people working there were very helpful and shared a lot of information with our students. It was worth the trip.
This is a real submarine so the tour is VERY close quarters. If you're claustrophobic, don't wait in line. It's obviously not handicap friendly, but there's no way to do it. Great self guided tour. Lets you take your time and study the parts you find interesting. You got to go into all the parts of the ship that are typically off limits on other boat tours. Such an awesome ship! You can feel the presence of soldiers as you witness history. Take the tour. You will not be sorry.
This is a must see. I loved touring this ship and climbing all over its decks. My teenage son was not bored while on this ship. That is saying a lot for him to not be bored. He found it very interesting.
