Perfect place to spend a hot summer day. Lake Michigan is clear and clean. The sandy beach is not crowded, ever. One of the best kept secrets of West Michigan. shhhhh

Pere Marquette Park is one my favorite place to bbq or hang with family during the summer. It has 1st come picnic table available for free and stationary grills. It's right on the beach front and easy walking access to the water or channel. i would recommend this to anyone looking for a day of fun and sun in Muskegon.

One of the best places I have ever visited in Michigan. Lake Michigan has best blue water, just crystal clear. My Son likes sandy beach very much. It has great fishing facilities, with big size fish. Nice play ground for kids. Long Sandy beach and nice hiking facilities around the park, Pere Marquette is home of 26 miles of sugar... More

I have been a visitor at this Great public beach for over 40 years now. I'm so upset that the Great Captain Jack's Bar and Restaurant has closed ( financial problems here)- I sure hope that so one buys it soon! This restaurant is as fine as any Florida or Mexico beach! In the summer months it is "Muskegon Finest... More

Lake Michigan is great, no salt, no sharks, no problem. I like Pere Marquette because it is a city park and free to the public. This can lead to some crowds on very hot days or holiday weekends. If you want fewer people, try the Muskegon State Park on the north side of the chanel. Same great lake, same great... More

This to me is Muskegon's best overall attraction. Quite nothing beats near the lake and playing around with the breeze of the air blowing around.

It's owned by the city so there is no state entrance fee like many Michigan beaches. Because of it large size it's not crowded even on a hot summer day.

Great place to lay out, swim, kite surft etc. The biggest downfall is there is no food or place to buy drinks so bring your own cooler. THe peir is a great place to walk and take pictures. Ample parking

Beautiful park on Lake Michigan. So many areas to swim, picnic, relax. White sand and clean. Bring your camera.
