Fossils and Old Farts they should call it. The summer festival has been announced and I was hoping without hope for something other than safe, whitebread, crapola. A Prairie Home Companion may be cute, but it was stale a decade ago when Keillor decided to do nothing but showcase talentless twittering singers. One wishes a show to grow old gracefully,... More

They strive to bring in excellent entertainment and there is not a bad seat in the house! The ticket prices are reasonable with a clean campus to enjoy while waiting for the show. Good local restaurants are nearby.

Interlochen (Center for the Arts) is one of the reasons we live in Traverse City. This is truly a very, very special place. Their motto is "Art lives here" and it certainly does. I personally believe that the junior high and high school students who attend here aren't really students at all, they are professionals pretending to be students! Music... More

This school is absolutely incredibly, it's a true liberation of the arts in every expression. I only wish every talented child could have such an incredibly opportunity.

Interlochen is a beautiful campus where summer and winter one can hear student performances as well as headline performers. The student performances go way beyond "high school". Try it, you will be amazed.

Have seen many acts over the years here. Bands are good, but am not happy they way "security" lets the fans rush the stage halfway through the act. Makes it worthless to donate and pay extra for front row seats.

Whether you attend performances (year round) given by the students, the faculty or world renowned professionals, you will impressed by both the quality of the performance and the splendor of the surroundings. What a wonder in the woods overlooking the pristine Green Lake. Just walk the campus and discover the unique treasure of Northern Michigan. Stop by the information booth... More

You find yourself standing up and giving an ovation at the end of a performance, and then it hits you that none of the performers you just witnessed are over 17 years of age. It drives me crazy every time the realization hits, and it hits every single time.
