Nice museum. Everyone was friendly. Barely anyone was there so we felt like we had it all to ourselves. A nice way to spend about 2 hours.

If you ever have the opportunity to see the artwork of Mr. Winfred Rembert, please do. This art collection has such passion, and every piece provides important historical fact about his life and family. Excellent job, Mr. Rembert. Thank you, FIA for bringing Mr. Rembert to Flint.
Saturdays are free. Art displays are always changing. Saw a art display of a sculptor that does glass. It was the most beautiful display I had ever seen. They have had many famous artist displays. Very enjoyable visits.
My husband attends school here and loves it...we love the change of everything too...nice job guys/gals )
If you are in the Flint area this is a nice way to spend a couple of hours. It has a nice eclectic collection that can be enjoyed by the serious art lover or the casual visitor. It is not stuffy and while it has some serious art works it has a relaxed and comfortable feeling.
If your frugal there...

My son has been participating in the art classes her at the FIA through their homeschool program. The classes are great, very reasonable, lessons are age appropriate and kids are grouped within their age range. Wide range of medias and techniques used during the classes. We've been very happy.
I cannot write enough so I'll write too little. This is a jewel. The collection is superb. Activities are wide-ranging. Special events are inviting. The setting is beautiful and convenient. Services available, the cafe and the rentals and the service desk and the special exhibits make our 80 mile drive well worthwhile.
This is not my cup of tea but if your into art its a nice enough place to visit. I would not go out of my way to visit.
This is an outstanding museum. The interior spaces are beautiful, and the galleries are well laid out and maintained. The two major exhibitions there when I visited were very well exhibited and curated, and the permanent Bray Renaissance Gallery collection is world class. There is a very nice gift shop with a good selection of art books and well written...
