The Cape is full of places for ice cream, and this small, historic building houses another great choice for dessert. Definitely worth a stop on your ice cream tour!

We stopped here for dessert, and the ice cream was a step above awesome. Best ice cream I've had on Cape Cod.
Hallet's has been around in one form or another since colonial times. In season, they offer ice cream made on the premises, as well as sandwiches for lunch. An interesting stop. Kids can catch a glimpse of history and have homemade ice cream.
We visited Hallet's Store on its last day for the season, and were so glad we didn't miss it! The building itself is just fascinating - a real old fashioned ice cream and soda fountain place. The ice cream was delicious (lots of great flavours) and the store itself seemed totally unspoiled by change or tourism. We'd love to come...

Ice cream was just ice cream. Nothing special. Staff was a bit surly. As closing time approached we felt we were getting the bum's rush by the owner.
Best part of Hallet's is the atmosphere, but the ice cream is great too! This is a quaint little place that really gives the feel of Old Cape Cod, right on 6A. Authentic!
Place was understaffed as there was only one person for the whole store. The ice cream tasted sour and was not edible.
Hallet's is open and ready for your business as of Memorial Day weekend 2012. The marble soda fountain is as beautiful as ever - you would never know a car plowed into the business in August 2011. Tried a new ice cream place everyday on my vacation and I will say that Hallet's Mocha Chip was by far my favorite...

Hallet's was destroyed by a wayward automobile, months ago. I drove by on March 30, 2012 and it has been reconstructed to look just like the original store. It is not open yet, and no doubt they are now working on the inside. Maybe by late Spring or this Summer we can enjoy ice cream at this old favorite.
Hallet's store has been around longer than I have, and has the feeling of the old country store, ice cream sodas and all. Unfortunately, it has been closed lately because someone drove a car through it, but it should be back in business soon!
