I have seen more modern ferries but if the locals are satisfied we will be too. The Ferry is a great way to see MV from the waters and enjoy that sea breeze and the sunshine on the upper deck for a day trip to MV. We missed the morning ferry and were allowed to go on the freight ferry... More

This was the first time on a ferry on the ocean. I loved it. It was so relaxing. The scenery was beautiful. I only had a beer. Which was good. Wish I had tied the clam chowder.

Lots of different seating inside and outside in different sections of the boat. I always have to get a cup of chowder when I head to MV from Woods Hole because it's so good but I noticed this time the cup is 5.95 which I think is too much for the size. So no cup for me upon return. It's... More

This company needs a major upgrade. Dirty shuttle buses with bad smell which take you from parking lot to the terminal. The boat itself was not clean at all. On our way back from Martha's Vineyard to cape, boat was filled with pets and could see and smell animal dirt on board. Seats were torn and dirty too. Overall it... More

45-minute steam ride to Martha's Vineyard. Its nice to sit and relax. Note: no entertainment on the ferry. If you come during season (June-July-August), take the faster boat which takes 15-20 minutes and arrives in Oaks Bluff.

Had a nice 45 minute ride to the vineyard on the ferry. Was so smooth that you didn't even realize that you were moving. Great trip.

Worth taking the Ferry across to Martha's Vineyard from Hyannis. It is an exciting trip for children and our crossing was smooth and hassle free.

SSA stopped service when Sandy came around. Good call. Vineyard Haven flooded and OB, especially East Chop was in trouble. The next week was a Nor'Easter and the winds were north of 50 MPH average for about 20 hours. They closed again. Now this didn't affect us but they chose safety and caution. Works for me. In general they are... More

We decided to travel on the 10.45am ferry to the island on a Sunday and got to the area in plenty of time only to be told that the parking area was back in Falmouth! So back we went and got the bus to the terminal with 5 minutes to spare. It's not obvious that the parking for non-employees is... More
