Christmas lights on display though out the grounds. Activities for Children, beautiful carousel and a great car show. A lot of walking but worth the effort
100 acres of fun awaits the whole family in this hidden gem located in Sandwich. Tucked away a mile from the center of the village, Heritage covers a lot of ground for folks of all ages. From the antique car museum set inside a round Shaker barn, to the 1903 Coney Island carousel in its own glass building, there is... More
Took our 4 kids (6 year old triplets and 8 year old) this past summer and loved it. Car exhibit was fascinating but the grounds were the highlight. So much for kids to do, we could have stayed all day, we had to drag kids out at closing- they loved the mazes, treehouse, stage, music instruments- so much to engage... More
The usual "old" vintage auto were replaced with the diaplay of GM prototypes, The gardens are very nice but I admit that I was more interested in the auto displays. To see what might have been built was real interesting.
Heritage Museums & Gardens is a lovely place in the middle of Sandwich. Spend time wandering around the grounds- trails, a labyrinth, garden maze, exhibit space. The car exhibit is like a walk back in time when the automobile was a true work of art. We spent a wonderful early fall afternoon just wandering.

As a member of each age group I always enjoyed my time there. I would not say it will occupy the entire day but maybe a half day would be good. When the... More

We spent hours walking around the grounds as I am a plant and flower nut. How beautiful! Make sure you wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a spare bottle of water, you will... More
The collection of cars was very interesting and informative. I really enjoyed the car section. However, maybe because of fall, the garden was not very impressive. Besides, the museum was very limited and full of wooden carvings for cigar shops, some of which were quite dirty with spider webs.
Thank you for your review of your recent visit to Heritage Museums & Gardens. We’re so glad to hear you enjoyed the special exhibit Driving Our Dreams: Imagination in Motion. We visited the gardens when their special car exhibit was still there. Their normal collection was in storage and they now have a grouping of prototype vehicles. I am not a car enthusiast, but even I, a person who knows nothing about cars, was in awe of this collection. Just looking at it I knew it was special. If there... More
