Being a family man, I had never been to a place like this before. Really. But it was a good time and the locals seem to enjoy themselves. The bartender was awesome, to see her make an absinthe is a show in and of itself.

Typical Gay Bar…. They have a somewhat monopoly on the dance side of things down here, as there are only really 2 dance clubs in town. Snotty staff that think they are doing you the favor by getting you a drink….which they charge way to much for.

This place is really diverse. There is a good size inside/outside bar with big dance floor and outdoor deck. The drinks are expensive though. We stayed here for one night. You really can't beat the location: right in the center of town. The room was fine for our tastes... a bit sad-looking and dated, but really was adequate for our needs. I found the staff to be friendly. Most likely, we would stay at a B&B for a quieter environment next time.

The Crown and Anchor offers a variety of entertainment for a visit to Provincetown. Very good comedy, acts, a piano bar, a video bar, etc., it has it all. A good place for a night out.
