.....to be near the river. I just wish it was longer! There's a gap, but the directions to the next part were very good.

Beautiful short walk, A friend showed it to me and I really enjoyed the quiet. Not to crowded, but hard to find. If you can find a local, ask them. Nice break in the day.

This was a very pretty walk along the river. It didn't take long to walk one way--maybe 10 or 15 minutes. I was impressed that the effort had been made to construct this nice walk.

A very windy day in October, but we were able to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of this walk along the Housatonic. What a great area to enjoy nature, an the history of this town.

When in Downtown Great Barrington you do not see an obvious river close by but there is a delightful hidden gem if you know where to start (by the drug store parking lot). Having grown up in Housatonic at a time when the river was very polluted, it is a wonderful feeling to stroll along the River Walk where it is shady and cool even on the hottest day. Main Street might be a hundred yards away, but you would never know it! Kudos to the many hands that made this walk possible... More

This is a short (1/2 mile), well shaded, flat trail that meaners along the rambling Housatonic River. Pretty, but awfully short -- hope they're going to continue it! As is, it's not much. It's in two short sections and one of them is really just a path running alongside an ugly industrial parking lot.
