We used this ferry service to cross from Falmouth to Oaks Bluff, Martha's Vineyard. It is very fast, just 35minutes, and reliable, leaving either destination at least 7 times per day. It's cheap, only $20 return rather than the $80 that some ferries charge.

Not that Falmouth folks want visitors to leave their town, but if you are headed to the Vineyard as part of your vacation, use this ferry which is handy from downtown Falmouth, with plenty of parking. Friendly folks run the ferry and it's kept clean and up-to-date. You'll enjoy the trip.

Not having particularly good "sea legs" I was a tad apprehensive about going on a ferry over to Martha's Vineyard until I saw the Island Queen Ferry! It's a good-sized boat and gets you from Falmouth to Oak Bluffs in no time at all. Everything was really well organised with parking a couple of blocks away (remember to allow time... More

If you are not taking a car to MV - this is the way to go. Clean, quick, and affordable. Definitely think about sitting on the first deck- covered to avoid the wind.

When you get to your hotel, you'll find all kinds of brochures on ferries to Martha's Vineyard, and the small yellow brochure from the Island Queen might get overlooked but it's the simplest and easiest way to get to Martha's Vineyard. The other brochures were confusing about where you park (many have several different lots) and different prices. The Island... More
