Wonderful bike and a great getaway within the getaway. Loved the general store on the way. A good use of our time.

Nice beach, windy but clean. No restrooms! Easy access by car or bicycle. Bigger waves than State beach.

Bring your paddle board and sunscreen and a giant blanket to rest on afterward! Bus is best to avoid parking!

I thoroughly enjoyed flying my Skyhawk to Katama Airfield. Being based on a short grass strip, the 1B2 runways seemed immense. Stopped off for ice cream at Right Forks Restaurant, then taxied to the ocean end of the field. Less than a 200' walk to a beautiful beach. The small fee for using the field was well worth it. Love this beach, love the Katama area, love Edgartown. Wife and I got a room for 3 nights at the Harborview and spent part of every day at Katama beach. Heaven. Going back to mv next week and doing it again.

Beach is clean and populated. Can be very busy at times so get your spot early. Not many services: no showers, concessions, and only porta potties. Surf can be rough, which was fun for us, but maybe not the best for novice swimmers. We recommend it!

Our daughter and her fiance went kite boarding here. There was good wind and a nice safe area to enjoy.

Katama Beach is graced with a fantastic airport with three intersecting sod runways. Reasonable tie-down fees (1/2 day - $10, all day - $20, and beach - $15) provide access to the beach and short walk to Edgartown. The restaurant on site, Right Fork Diner, offers a great "$100 hamburger." Note: no fees when unattended, September 15 through May 15.

Every visit to the vineyard we make sure we come to this beach. Over the years the only thing that has changed is that we love it more. The waves are incredible and the water is beautiful.
