The Chatham Fish Pier i Markets just what it is named; a fish market. Their take out fried food is nothing spectacular. The only good part about it is the location. At the building next door you can go up on the deck and watch the fishing boats unload their daily catch.

The outdoor clam shack was very good and kids will love to watch the fishing boats come in. My nephews loved watching the fish being unloaded.

A fun spot to visit. While we were there the seals were frolicking and showing off for the viewers - very fun. Late morning it seems the fishing vessels return with their catch - great if you can get there while they offload the fresh catch!

This is a great place to see seals who are coming near shore to avoid sharks that might be looking for dinner. It is near the Chatham Bars Inn which is a beautiful spot.

Reliable seafood store for many years. If it isn't fresh, they don't sell it. Good views of the commercial harbor, and if lucky, you can watch fishing boats unloading their catch.

Great place to view seals who greet the fisherman upon their return trip with the catch of the day. We were able to take some up-close pictures of the seals playing around in the water. Didn't try the food at the take out on the property but it smelled delicious and you know it's fresh!

Although the fish market had closed for the season (we visited on October 22nd), this is still a great place to visit. You can watch boats unload their catch whilst lots of seals swim around. Thank goodness for digital cameras, otherwise we would have got through a lot of film trying to get 'perfect' shots of the seals! The views... More

We saw an 800 tonne tuna come in. Think it's a great place to see a working fishing pier. We took a walk up the beach. We didn't have a lobst roll there but we were told that they were pretty good there.

Wonderful place to watch the seals. Always happy seals in anticipation of a fish dinner as they wait for the fishermen to come in. Watching them brings a smile to your face. Lots of seagulls too. Guess they like fish too.

No stay in Chatham is complete without a visit to the fish pier (unless you don't like the smell of fish). I find parking in the lot up at Shore Rd is easier as there are only a few spots down at the fish market. Down the stairs, across the lot, and up the steps on the pier to watch... More
